So, although I tried to put some netting around my tomatoes, the birds still managed to get in there and eat the next 2 red tomatoes I had. Next I'm going to secure the netting to the ground better. Hopefully that will help.
My only guess is that they snuck in here and crawled under. Must be small birds.
