A couple of weeks ago we went and picked peaches and blackberries. We had done this last year. I posted on the foodblog about making peach jam after picking peaches. This week I saw a post on the community yahoo group talking about a place nearby to pick blueberries. It was great. Shadier than the peaches and blackberries, closer, and easier. The little boys still didn't last long before whining it was too hot, but even in our short trip, we managed to pick 8 lbs.
Duncan had some method of shaking the tree and catching them in the bucket. The guy at the beginning said the ripe ones should just fall off in you hand. Apparently Duncan took him literally.
