A friend of mine from running group just put together Kid's night out groups for people interested in the ward. Basically they are a babysitting swap with 3-4 families. You take one turn having all of the kids, then each of the other families take a turn. We started ours this past Friday night. We are with 3 other families. We took the first turn because we don't want to be responsible for lots of kids and me all of a sudden go into labor, so we volunteered to be first on the list for watching the kids. We planned fun activities becasue we knew all of the kids had been pretty couped up with not too much to do since the storm. We had a total of 12 kids ranging in age from 11 to almost 2. We made homemade pizzas. Brandon taught them how to toss their dough, and everyone chose what to put on their pizza. Then the kids played upstairs. They ended up having so much fun, that we didn't even start a movie until it was getting close to time to go home. I'll post more pictures as I talk to parents and make sure it is OK with them.
Pizza!
Playing Dress up - we had lots of girls - but mostly boy toys. They did like the animal dress up though, and eventually even got out the nerf guns and had some boy against girl game going on.
This group really went through the popcorn. :)
