Adoption update

Tuesday we went and met the little boy we will be adopting soon. He is a cutie. We got a lot more of his history, and there is nothing bad in it. He is a healthy 2 year old boy. We finished our 8 hour behavior training on Saturday. Next Saturday is fingerprinting. It will take 2 days for those to clear. Then he will come visit our house for an evening, then spend the night another day, then come to stay. After 6 months in our home we can adopt him. It looks like we will be taking him either the 25th or 28th of this month. I have to call tomorrow to schedule the visits and placement day. Then Brandon and I will be taking turns staying home for the rest of the school year. (There are some testing days, awards days, report card, field trip, progress report, program ... days I have to go to. That is when Brandon will stay home.) Everyone is excited!

Wow, how exciting! It seems to be happening so fast. Are the boys excited to become big brothers? How long until you can be sealed after you adopt? Will it work out so you can do this baby's blessing and the new child's sealing at the same time? Either way, we'll be there!!

As soon as we adopt we can have him sealed. We're looking at the week between Christmas and New Years. (Hopefully all will be done by then.) I've been trying to convince Brandon to do the blessing at the same time, but that has yet to be determined.
Obviously there are still a lot of variables.
